What to expect

Guests attending this year’s event can look forward to vital input for upcoming tasks and will have plenty of opportunity for discussions and networking with peers, interesting personalities and highly qualified speakers. The roles and responsibilities of those in charge of IT are undergoing a change: from being a supplier of technological services to business enabler and catalyst, influencing core business and the value chain, supporting business processes and making them happen.

Happily, a whole range of new possibilities and solutions are available which can support you in mastering these challenges. Even though Web 2.0 has been discredited as simply another buzz word, the ideas and applications behind it allow for an unlimited exchange of knowledge and experience, way past the much cited pages like Wikipedia, Flickr and YouTube.

Creations of the so-called Web 1.0, such as e-commerce and internet marketing, initially were only seen in connection with innovate start-ups. These days, however, they are totally normal for most companies.  We will discuss new semantic information infrastructures and their possible applications and business models. With information logistics, the intelligent and personalised information access as well has highest possible efficiency and effectiveness when searching and navigating, analysing and structuring as well as linking information and creating new content become possible. Modern service management can automate all phases in the service lifecycle – from efficient creation and publication of technical documentation, via intelligent problem solutions in call centre and service centres, to diagnostics and solution finding by customer service on site. Media management involves the creation, managing and distribution of digital content via internet, interactive TV or mobile.

Expect an interesting, varied and ambitious programme in the exclusive setting of the Bertelsmann residence in Berlin, located in the well-known boulevard Unter den Linden.

We look forward to it!
