Empolis is now part of proALPHA Group. Empolis and proALPHA – (R)Evolution in the World of Business Applications

Kaiserslautern, Germany, August 8, 2022 – The internationally acclaimed Empolis Group is now part of the proALPHA Group following regulatory approval. proALPHA is one of the leading providers of ERP+ software for medium-sized businesses. The two companies have worked together in a successful partnership since April 2020, as both proALPHA and Empolis focus on the manufacturing sector. The acquisition enables even closer cooperation and opens additional growth potential. The successful application of artificial intelligence and cloud expertise from Empolis will enable both companies to jointly set standards in the development of business software for medium-sized companies in the future.

Despite the pandemic, Empolis had the most successful year in the company’s history in 2021; the software provider almost doubled its customer numbers. For a good reason, the cloud-based SaaS solutions offer the full power of artificial intelligence and can be used immediately, without any prior expertise, easily and intuitively.

“Data drives artificial intelligence. The data already stored in business software can be transformed into valuable insights and better decisions with support of Empolis. In this way, we expand the capabilities of humans without patronizing them,” says Dr. Stefan Wess, founder, and long-time managing partner of the Empolis Group. Wess stepped down from the management board with the takeover but will continue to support the company in an advisory capacity. His function will be assumed by the current Co-CEO Andreas Klüter. Klüter affirms: “The offerings of Empolis and proALPHA complement each other excellently and will offer our customers and partners new opportunities.”

The Empolis group and its companies will continue to be managed independently, as before, and there will be no changes whatsoever in the business relationships with customers, partners and suppliers. Empolis’ activities will continue to focus on SaaS business involving the three products Empolis Service Express^®, Empolis Content Express^® and Empolis Knowledge Express^®, as well as on continued internationalization and the expansion of partnering.

The two companies will provide detailed insights into their collaboration and present planned joint initiatives at the expert conference Empolis:Exchange Summit 2022 on September 27 and 28. The hybrid event will be run under the motto “Rethinking products & services digitally – How it really works!” and offer presentations by experts and best-practices from customer use cases, explaining how intelligent technologies can be utilized, for instance to enable service engineers to assist customers more quickly and with more accurate information, or to help knowledge workers make better decisions through networking and intelligent processing of complex data.
