Empolis Information Management GmbH, with headquarters in Kaiserslautern, Germany, has been honored with yet another distinction. The leading provider of Smart Information Management software was selected by the Oskar-Patzelt-Stiftung (Foundation) in Düsseldorf for the Rhineland-Palatinate/Saarland economic region as one of only finalists for the “Award for Midsized Enterprises”. This award is a highly significant economic distinction for Germany; 4,796 companies were nominated nationwide and 546 from the Rhineland Palatinate/Saarland region alone.
Since 1994, the Oskar-Patzelt-Stiftung has been honoring midsized companies with the “Award for Midsized Enterprises”. Municipalities, associations and companies nominate noteworthy candidates from twelve different economic regions. Twelve regional juries and a final jury select the finalists and winners. Overall economic development, service and customer focus, innovative strength, as well as regional commitment are some of the evaluated categories.
“As a management-owned midsized software company, it is a very special distinction”, states Empolis CEO, Dr. Stefan Wess, happily. “It underscores that innovative and successful IT companies not only exist in Silicon Valley, but can also be found in midsized companies in Germany. According to our motto: big enough to achieve big, yet small enough to be fast and flexible.”
